What is the best bac water for peptide research?

Look for a sealed vial that states 0.9% benzyl alcohol, a lot report for the water itself and a fair price per mL. Of the five suppliers we checked on 5 Nov 2026, PSPeptides published the most complete lot report; Swiss Chems had the lowest price per mL.

Is bacteriostatic water the same as sterile water?

No. Bacteriostatic water is sterile water with 0.9% benzyl alcohol added as a preservative, so a vial can be entered more than once. Plain sterile water has no preservative and its label says to discard the unused portion.

Can I buy bacteriostatic water at a pharmacy?

The licensed Hospira vials are labeled Rx only. We could not confirm a listing on cvs.com or walgreens.com on 5 Nov 2026, and the Walmart and Amazon searches showed look-alike products rather than bac water.

What size does PSPeptides sell?

PSPeptides sells 10 mL vials only, singly or in packs of 3, 5, 10 and 25. Other suppliers we checked also list 30 mL vials.
